2006-06-16 [eyes of frost]: And, the index was never really made to be a chat page. It was turned into a chat page becuase of the people strictly disregarding the no chatting rule.

2006-06-16 [eyes of frost]: Because it has come to the attention of the staff that questions were being lost in the endless chatter. We cannot properly answer questions if they are lost to endless chatter.

2006-06-16 [eyes of frost]: So people who disregard the no chatterbox rule will be banned. Simple as that. And then we have a more efficiant way of dealing with questions.

If people would actually take the imte to look they would see that. :) You may not think it is fair but do you think that everyone who has asked a question and not had it answered becuase it was lost thinks it any fair that they didn't get their question answered?

Chatting in the index isn't such a crime, but when you disrespect the EP crew then you are asking for trouble. 2006-06-28 [wheelsy]: The index not to be so strict. People met people off there with the same interests. People also helped people. It was fine until they had to make it questions only, people's questions were getting answered while other people were meeting others. When the index was first made no one talked and questions were answered. Elfpack has populated since then, obviously people will talk on it. if they didn't want them to why did they let them before. -Makes index- -At least three years later- Wow, it's spamming, haven't seen this before!

There are many other official wikis where chatter is controlled and deleted. There are also tons of places that are meant to be social where you could hang out.
